LiveFitMagazine.com (LFM) an online premier video news magazine featuring content on travel, health, fitness, beauty, lifestyle, and leisure launched its new TV magazine-style entertainment show this week–a unique blend of TV, community, technology, and news in San Diego.

The Internet-based TV show is the first of its kind to highlight local San Diego businesses and weave in unique stories about the community for Internet viewing. The Super Bowl edition of Live Fit Magazine features TV host, founder of Live Fit Magazine, and veteran broadcast journalist, Phoebe Chongchua, along with Kansas City Chiefs’ Hall of Fame kicker, Nick Lowery. Special guests include 12-year NFL linebacker, Derek Smith and former Patriots NFL player, Jon Compas. Celebrity Chef, Bernard Guillas from the Marine Room in La Jolla, California adds sizzle to the show with his mouthwatering Super Bowl grilled appetizers.

The 20-minute TV show is shot on-location at Carruth Cellars an urban winery located in the Cedros District in Solana Beach.

“This is much more than just an entertainment TV show,” says Chongchua. “We are addressing the needs of the community and viewers via social media to cover what they want to see. TV news has long lacked the magazine-style formatted shows and instead focused on crime, calamity, and other bad news.”

The goal of Live Fit Magazine is to produce high-quality TV feature news stories and shows for the Internet, allowing viewers to watch them whenever and wherever they want.

“The way people get their news and information is changing. Today’s viewers want ease of accessibility. They want to be connected to the stories. They want valuable information and they want interesting stories delivered not only via the airwaves but also on their mobile devices and tablets. We’re providing that quality content,” says Chongchua.

Produced locally in San Diego with veteran TV news crews, the show works with local businesses to build into the show a social media component that drives traffic to the businesses while offering special deals to its viewers. Live Fit Magazine Super Bowl Edition giveaways include wine-tasting tickets to Carruth Cellars and autographed books by Chef Bernard. Viewers are encouraged to participate in social media connections to win the prizes.

“It’s a win-win,” says Lowery. “Whenever you can provide a service for viewers and involve them rather than simply broadcast to them, you have created a sense of community–something viewers look forward to being a part of.”

Lowery adds, “Given the choice of where to live, people will choose to live where they can celebrate the roots, culture, and energy of the community they live in–LFM celebrates the heart and soul of the community of San Diego.”

“Our goal is to co-create Live Fit Films shows that have the mark of the community’s voice. We plan to stream content live over our various channels and to offer viewers an opportunity to ask questions via all the social media outlets as well as the chance to come out and be part of the TV show,” says Chongchua.

The show seeks sponsorship through community businesses. “By working with the businesses on their video segments, we are also teaching them how to utilize social media, the power of the Internet, and how to capitalize on the ability to have their voice heard in SD and around the world,” says Kerilyn LaFournaise, VP of Marketing and Sales for Live Fit Films.

Chongchua says, “Innovating Internet TV and unique quality programming is a synergistic style of creating newsworthy content. It’s the way of the future for TV broadcasting and we’re happy to be among the first to introduce this format in San Diego.”
